After more than 10 years technical and business experience in major technology companies such as Netscape, Oracle and Adobe, I am now helping large and small companies build the next generation of Internet applications by leveraging modern technologies and practices.

I specialize in rich and collaborative Internet application product strategy, architecture (server and client), and high fidelity prototypes.

Product & Market Strategy:

architecture Maximizing the short and long term market impact of a product requires a tight coupling between the product technology, user experience and business strategy.
Having one of these constituencies out of sync could dramatically damage the success of a project in the long term.

Having directed many product management teams in my career, I work efficiently with business and technical teams to craft the most comprehensive technical and business strategy that optimizes the product investment towards achieving the business goals.

Technical Architecture:

architecture With the proliferation of client and server technologies, defining robust, flexible and future proof Internet architecture is a challenging task. Moreover, the use of modern technologies can dramatically enhance a product experience and be instrumental in winning or losing a market opportunity. Consequently, choosing the right architecture foundation from the onset of the project has never been more critical than it is today.

Leveraging my experience in leading server and client technology companies, such as Oracle and Adobe, I work with business and/or technical teams to design the best possible architecture for a given business case. This task consists of the following:

  • Select the most appropriate technologies depending on the application business and market requirements.
    • Client technologies: For the client (e.g. AJAX, Flash/Flex, SilverLight/XAML, Mozilla XUL, Java, JavaFX)
    • Server technologies:  Java EJB, Spring, Aspect Oriented Programming, SOAP, REST, Push technologies.
  • Build a robust, scalable and extensible architecture blueprint based on modern server and client technologies.
  • Implement base data and service mock objects that can be used as the architecture foundation.

High-Fidelity Prototype:

architecture Agility and time to market has become a necessity to build products with high market impact. This requires enterprises to get very early customer and user feedback, while continuing to build high-quality products and services. Managing this dilemma can be decisive in the success or failure of a project execution.

As part of SnapDesign, we offer a complete package that designs, builds and tests high-fidelity prototypes. High-fidelity prototypes are highly interactive prototypes that accurately simulate the main aspects of an application, allowing product teams to obtain very early user or customer feedback while building the production application in parallel.

One of the unique aspects of our service is that this high-fidelity prototype can be built on top of the real architecture foundation objects, optimizing the research and development investments and maximizing time to market.
